The UN Resident Coordinator, Babatunde Ahonsi has paid a courtesy call on the Chairperson of the National Electoral Commission (NEC) Mr Mohamed K Konneh .

Giving an overview of the Commission, Mr Konneh said that NEC has developed a strategic plan for the current electoral cycle and, made progress on addressing the 2018 electoral observation missions’ recommendations.

The Chair further elaborated on the current collaboration with the National Civil Registration Agency (NCRA).
The RC congratulated NEC Chair for his appointment at NEC and expressed his wishes for a successful tenure of office.
In attendance at the meeting with the Commissioner are the Executive Secretary, Mr Williams A Davies and Electoral Commissioner southern region, Mr Edmond Sylvester Alpha.
