UN Sierra Leone Leave No One Behind Report 2023
The primary objective of this LNOB analysis for Sierra Leone is to understand who is being left behind and
why, considering factors such as vulnerability, poverty, deprivation, and in what geographic areas the most vulnerable are located. It considers the main gaps and challenges to greater inclusion and support for LNOB groups and what opportunities exist to present actionable program recommendations.
LNOB Groups identified for Sierra Leone:
• Children living in poverty;
• Informal Workers;
• Homeless Persons;
• Persons with Disability;
• Persons living with HIV/AIDS;
• Survivors of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV);
• Adolescent Girls impacted by Child Marriage and Harmful
Practices;
• Migrants and Returned Migrants;
• Those living in Hard-to-Reach (HTR) Communities;
• Inmates of Correctional Institutions;
• Youths in Conflict with the Law/Youth Gang Members;
• Persons with Substance Abuse Issues;
• Ebola Virus Disease Survivors with latent Health Issues;
• Children who left Primary or Secondary School;
• Persons Trafficked, including Children; and
• Vulnerable Persons negatively affected by Climate Change
