UN agencies reflect on eight decades of impact.
Foreword
As we mark 80 years of the United Nations, we also celebrate 64 years of enduring partnership with the
people and Government of Sierra Leone. This shared journey has been defined by resilience, collaboration, and a steadfast commitment to peace, human rights, and sustainable development.
Guided by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Sierra Leone’s Medium-Term National Development Plan (MTNDP), and the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF), the UN continues to support national
priorities—from inclusive economic growth to climate resilience and social equity.
This milestone is both a reflection of progress and a renewed promise: to build a future where every Sierra Leonean can thrive, leaving no one behind.
