UN@80 Photo Book 2025

The UN in Sierra Leone marked UN@80 with a vibrant celebration of learning, creativity, partnership, and national unity. The commemorations began with a solemn flag-raising and wreath-laying ceremony, attended by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, senior Government officials, representatives from key ministries, members of the diplomatic corps, development partners, civil society leaders, and the United Nations Country Team.

This milestone moment honoured 80 years of the United Nations and 64 years of partnership with Sierra Leone, reflecting deep collaboration across peacebuilding, governance, human capital development, climate resilience, and sustainable development.

The photo book captures highlights from the National Youth Quiz & Debate Competition, where secondary schools and universities demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, and intellectual excellence. It also features the dynamic UN@80 Trade Fair & Entertainment Bazaar, bringing together local entrepreneurs, creative industries, community groups, UN agencies, and private-sector partners in a powerful showcase of innovation and Sierra Leonean talent.
